Activities: Customer service, Roles from home
We’re looking for pro-active people who already volunteer with the Trust and are familiar with the Selima online expenses system to help support other volunteers in their area to use it. This will involve:
Enthusing local volunteers and employees
Providing demonstrations on a 1-2-1 basis or to small groups
Handling local enquiries over the ‘phone or via email
Being pro-active in promoting Selima and encouraging people to use it
Provide regular feedback and input to the national volunteering team
We’ll provide an induction to make sure you’re confident in using the system, explaining it to others and understand the background processes required for its smooth running. We expect the role to take the equivalent of a day per week, some aspects will be pre planned such as visiting teams in your area whilst other aspects such as providing over the ‘phone/email will be more ad-hoc and demand led.

Confidence in using the Selima system and demonstrating it to others.
Patience and willingness to help.
Good communicator, able to put people at ease and explain things clearly.
Able to travel locally to Trust offices / depots and waterway locations. Working remotely from home is also good, talking to people on the phone or on Skype.
Access to your own internet enabled device (computer, phone and/or tablet).
