Towpath Taskforce Audlem - Mid Week

Details

Reference: OPP0003227

Activities: Customer service, Practical

Starts: Anytime

Audlem, Shropshire Union Canal, Cheshire

Towpath Taskforce groups are for likeminded people who want to get involved and make a difference to their local canal. It's also a great way to get a taste of volunteering with the Trust and find out more from local Lead Volunteer.

Every Wednesday evening in the summer months we will be carrying out work along the canal in Audlem.

All tools and safety gear will be provided but please wear suitable outdoor clothing you don’t mind getting mucky! Refreshments will also be provided. We typically paint lock gates and clear vegetation.

We meet on Wednesday evenings in the summer months at the Wharf outside the Shroppie Fly at 5.30pm. See you there!

You can apply below but if it's within 48 of the planned task, you may want to find out more Duncan Davenport at duncan.davenport@canalrivertrust.org.uk or on 07885 281 688 for more immediate information.

Benefits

It's a great way to meet other local volunteers and the CRT Volunteer team, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

You don't need any experience to join us - just a wodge of enthusiasm.
