Your role will be to work closely with Canal & River Trust staff to lead and support volunteers aged 16 to 25 in the use of the Desmond Family Canoe Trail, to design and deliver an activity programme based on the needs of the local community, promote the canal, trail and towpath as a way of connecting communities and to increase and provide opportunities for young people to engage in healthier active lifestyles promoting improved health and well-being benefits

Skills required

• Good oral communication skills, both face to face and over the telephone
• Good written communication skills
• The ability to lead and support the canoe action squad with various projects
• Good organisational skills

An interest in canoeing and canal heritage & history would be an advantage although it is not a necessary requirement.
