What's involved?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to co-ordinate and lead our ever-growing group of volunteers in the Trust. In particular, we need help with organising our volunteer towpath team (TTF) on the Gloucester & Sharpness canal. You will help coordinate the work programme, order materials, ensure H&S policies are followed and be the main point of contact for the TTF. The team’s base for storage and welfare facilities will be one of our work boats. You will also be able to use the Gloucester Hub for admin tasks.
In return for a regular commitment of your time, we provide the opportunity to gain experience and put your skills into practice, to ensure the smooth day to day running of volunteer activities and give our volunteers the best experience possible.

• Good organisational skills
• Enthusiasm for the waterways and the Trust's values
• Good understanding of health & safety principles
• Experience of your areas of work desirable
• Experience of volunteering, especially working in a team desirable
• Comfortable with IT
