What's involved?

Join us on Wednesday 5th January between 10am and 3.30pm at Feildes Weir for an enjoyable day’s work at the meeting point of the Rivers Lee and Stort. We’ll be painting and cutting back vegetation.

All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. We will be delighted to see you there.
You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!

Meet us by Feildes Weir Lock, Rattys Lane, Roydon, approximate postcode EN11 0RF. The nearest station is Rye House which is 15 minute walk from the meeting point.

What's in it for you?

The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

What skills are we looking for?

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies. If possible, please sign up to let us know you plan on coming along. You don't need to hear from us to attend this event.
