Lock 6, Fenns Lock, Stockton Brook

The canal has now been reopened and normal navigation is resumed.

Emergency Grouting  - Excessive leakage has formed a void under the towpath side bottom end quadrant of the lock.  This is being monitored by the local waterway team but grouting works are required to stem the leakage from the lock chamber and to fill the void beneath the quadrant. This work will start on 17th February.

Whilst the contractor is on site the opportunity will also be used to grout the remainder of the chamber to infill any other voids and prevent further leakage.

The works are planned to take place from Monday to Friday between 07.30 to 16.30hrs. Boaters requiring to pass through the lock may be held back for approximately 20mins while the contractor remove the craft from the lock chamber.

Please note that a separate notice will be issued for a short stoppage period during these repair works
