Vegetation Works Developer - Birmingham.

Volunteer required to support the Area Operations Manager in the development of vegetation works along our canals for our cyclic maintenance programme.
The role involves reviewing the cyclic vegetation programme and preparing works for delivery in the winter. This will include reviewing vegetation on site and notating the works into an easily understood format on a collector app or similar, for transfer to our GIS system.
Ideally the volunteer will have good understanding of the natural environment, be computer literate and have a methodical approach to planning works. This would be an ideal opportunity for persons wanting to use their skills or gain experience in a vegetation management environment.
Full training will be given, and works are flexible.

Under normal circumstances the task will be home-based but will require walking of the canal network to plot and record works.

What skills are we looking for?
Ability to work independently with lone working on site. Computer literate, attention to detail, with good communication skills.
Ideally have their own PC running Windows 10 and desk area conforming to Trust Health & Safety requirements. Use of internet, so reliable broadband is required. Transport to get to remote locations needed.
