I have lots of fun creating new habitats for the wildlife and meeting new people.

What's involved?

Come along and get involved with our regular Montgomery and Llangollen volunteering activities every Friday. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, lively and active group of volunteers working on tasks such as habitat management on nature reserves, hedge laying, coppicing, fencing, towpath improvement work, painting, heritage preservation and the odd bit of litter picking. All you need to bring along is old clothing suitable for the weather and practical work, a packed lunch and hot drink and a smile, we provide everything else.

What skills are we looking for?

No skills are required. All tools and tuition in their use, informal skills training and information on the heritage and wildlife are provided in a safe working environment.

What will you get from us?

A chance to learn some new skills, make new friends, get fit, have fun and feel satisfied with a great days work at the same time as helping us to care for these wonderful waterways in World Heritage areas and home to some very rare wildlife. All of our mid-week volunteering task groups are are an excellent chance to meet people with a wide range of interests in our waterways and find out more about what they do.
