What's involved?

The 11 mile World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal encompass 168 heritage features along the Llangollen Canal from Horseshoe Falls to Chirk Aqueduct. It straddles two counties – Wales and England – and three counties – Wrexham, Denbighshire and Shropshire. The role involves being on hand to talk to visitors at the Visitors Centre, increasing their understanding of the exhibits and local area as well as enlightening them to the work that the Canal & River Trust carries out and inform them about the what, where, when and why of your local waterway.

What skills are we looking for?

The role also includes cash handling, responding to enquires, restocking the shop, light cleaning and general administration. Full training will be provided.
To get the most out of this opportunity we are looking for a minimum commitment of 1 full day or half day per (9.45am - 4.15pm) per week, fortnight or month.
We are currently looking for help covering and all day Tuesday's, Saturday's & Sunday's (9.45am - 4.15pm) starting from mid March to the end of October 2024.
