Anderton Boat Lift, Trent & Mersey Canal, Cheshire
We are looking for ambitious, creative and innovative volunteers that can help us to deliver some new Canal & River Trust activities and initiatives that welcome and engage the thousands of visitors that visit Anderton each year.
Responsibilities will include:
•Discover and map new walking routes around our beautiful local area and lead small groups and families along the trails.
•Supporting our angling team to meet and greet participants of our Let’s Fish events.
•Working alongside our activities co-ordinator to develop and deliver various events and enterprises.
•Deliver a warm, world-class visitor welcome- answering any questions, signposting visitors across the site, and ensuring perfect presentation and cleanliness of facilities.
•Provide an exceptional Visitor experience – Engaging and liaising with visitors on a range of issues across the site as well as helping in the shop, café and at events.
•Observing and highlighting safety issues throughout the site.

This role will suit people who have a friendly enthusiastic manner and enjoy working with visitors. It can sometimes be physically demanding, and you may be on your feet for long periods of time. No skills are required, but previous experience in a customer facing role would be desirable You will be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process, and full training will be given.
