Join us on Wednesday 3rd April between 10.30am and 2pm at Tottenham Lock* for an enjoyable day’s work on the beautiful River Lee. Preparing the lock for painting is the primary task. We may also do some cutting back of vegetation and litter picking if needed. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us on the towpath by Tottenham Lock, approximate postcode is N17 9NE. If you are familiar with the navigation aid 'what3words', a more precise location is ///bless.float.dimes.
We will be working very near deep water, so this particular event is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Those under 16 should of course be accompanied by an adult.

What skills are we looking for?
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Wearing old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions is highly recommended (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear.
Interested? Please do sign up to let us know you plan on attending. This enables us to plan equipment, let you know of any changes, and tender new community projects in your area. You do not need to hear from us to attend on the day.
What will you get from us?
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
