Be a part of the volunteering and biodiversity programme on the Grand Union Canal in Old Oak and Park Royal. Part funded by OPDC (Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation), we aim to improve the environmental conditions of the canal, enhance the sense of local ownership, and invite the local community to be part of a legacy of volunteering - and we’d like you to come and take part.
Join us on Thursday 25th August between 10a.m. and 1p.m. at Acton Lane, Park Royal, for a satisfying day's work at this spot on the Grand Union Canal. The closest postcode is NW10 7AE. It is a 5 minute walk from Harlesden Station. We will be picking litter along the canal making the towpath a more welcoming place to visit.
Remember to bring a drink as it is important to stay hydrated during the day. If possible, please sign up to let us know you plan on coming along. You don't have to hear from us, just come along on the planned day/time.

What skills are we looking for?
Please wear clothes appropriate for weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, sun hat) and sturdy footwear. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support.
