What's involved?

Would you like to meet new people in Wigan? We run this regular hands-on volunteering session on the canal in Wigan and are always on the lookout for new people.
It takes place on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal in Wigan in different places each time. Tasks can include vegetation works, litter picking and general towpath maintenance. We meet at 10am until approx 2pm every Tuesday. Sign up on the below button and then we will contact you with more information on the session!

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing which you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy shoes. We’ll provide all the tools and equipment needed to do the task. You may want to bring your own flask or water bottle and a packed lunch or snack depending on how long you’re staying.
