What's involved?
Join us on alternate Thursdays between 10.00 and 1.30 at various locations in the North Warwickshire area for an enjoyable day’s work on the Coventry or Oxford Canals. Tasks will vary and change and could include Lock maintenance, painting, vegetation management, planting, towpath repair, wildlife habitat improvements and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, along with expert and friendly support. Leader Mike Ray will be delighted to see you there.
Towpath Taskforces are for individuals who want to volunteer with the Trust. If you are looking to join us with a team of colleagues from work or community group, please see our Volunteering in Partnership pages (https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/volunteer/volunteer-in-partnership) or contact the Trust on [email protected] so that we can discuss a partnership with your group or company.
What skills are we looking for?
No experience is needed but do sign up below, so we can inform you of the date and location of the next meet.
What will you get from us?
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other Local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
