Starts: 4 March 2020
Enfield Lock, River Lee, London, EN3 6QJ
Join us on Wednesday 4 March from 10am to 3.30pm at Enfield Lock for an enjoyable day's work on the beautiful River Lee. We’ll be helping to give the area a general tidy up and litter pick. We will then take a short walk north to the old bridge to remove overgrown vegetation and disused bench from the structure.
All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We'll be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us by Enfield Lock, South Ordnance Road, EN3 6QJ. The nearest station is Enfield Lock 20-minute walk from the meeting point.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket or sun hat) and sturdy soled footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies.
