Join us on the last Friday of each month between 10:00 and 1:30 at various locations in the Walsall Wood & Rushall area for an enjoyable day along the Wyrley and Essington, Daw End and Rushall Canals. Tasks will vary and change with the seasons and could include: - litter picks, lock maintenance, painting, vegetation management, planting, minor towpath repairs, wildlife habitat improvements and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, along with friendly support and refreshments.
Towpath Taskforces are for individuals who want to volunteer with the Trust. Joining a Towpath Taskforce team is great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your wellbeing and local waterway environment.

Skills required

No experience is required. Just come with plenty of enthusiasm and a general desire to improve the canals in your local area.
