Join us on the last Wednesday of the month, starting on Wednesday 26th February between 10am and 2.30pm at Anton's Gowt Lock near Boston for an enjoyable mornings work alongside the beautful River Witham. Tasks will vary and change with the seasons and could include painting, vegetation management, planting, towpath repair, wildlife habitat improvements, litter picking and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket or Warm clothes) and sturdy footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies and a hot flask of tea or coffee. If it's your first time joining us please contact us to let us know you're planning to come by signing up below or ringing 0303 040 4040 for more details.
