Reference: OPP0007508

Activities: Outdoors

Starts: Anytime

Montgomery Canal, SY10 8BT

On hold due to Covid-19.
The Trust is a key partner in the Montgomery Canal Partnership along with a number of organisations who are driving the restoration of the Montgomery Canal. The partnership are looking for volunteers to join their project team organising the reconstruction of Schoolhouse Bridge near Crickheath, Shropshire.

The part-time post will be for 12-24 months, with site work taking place during Spring/Summer 2021. However, we are assembling the construction team now so initially you will liaise with our Lead Designer to conclude the design and plan the site works with immediate effect. We expect preliminary works, including moving a water main, to be undertaken in summer 2020.

See the web site for more details; http://restorethemontgomerycanal.uk/ProjectManagerJobSpec-Aug2019.pdf

The post would suit someone who has held a similar management position in the past and who would relish the challenge of co-ordinating highly motivated teams of volunteers on a multi discipline project.
