Hardmead Lock, River Lee, Ware, SG12 8LZ
Join us on Saturday 21st September between 10am and 3.30pm at Hardmead Lock near Ware for a satisfying days work at this beautiful spot on the River Lee. We'll be continuing to paint the locks, cut back vegetation and collecting litter. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there.
In order to help us combat plastic pollution, if possible, please could you bring your own reusable water bottle and/or mug along with you.
Meet us at 10am at Hardmead Lock, SG12 8LZ. The site is 1 mile south of Ware town centre and station via the River Lee Towpath.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is needed, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket) and sturdy soled footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies. If possible, please contact us to let us know you're planning to come – sign up below or ring 0303 040 4040 for more details.
