Roydon Lock, River Stort, Roydon
Join us on Saturday 16th March between 10am and 3.30pm at Roydon Lock for an enjoyable days work on the beautiful River Stort. We’ll be tackling overgrown vegetation and picking litter to make the towpath a more welcoming place for visitors.
All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there.
Meet us at Roydon Lock, a 5 minute walk from Roydon High Street B181, CM19 5EF. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies. If possible, please contact us to let us know you're planning to come – sign up below or ring 0303 040 4040 for more details.
