We work with communities to transform canals and rivers into places that people want to spend time. More than eight million people have waterways on their doorstep, and we want more to benefit from this accessible source of wellbeing.

One of the ways to get involved is by volunteering. In this role we require an enthusiastic self-motivated learner/skilled graphic artist with their own IT equipment to produce a range of vector graphics.

This task will see the development of .svg images for integration into the Trust’s internal websites. There is already a range of existing .gif and .png images which give a basis for the development of new vector versions, however there is scope for the designs to change.
The final .svgs will need to be modifiable via css to represent changes in state of the plant/instrumentation they represent.

The minimum required software (InkScape) is freely available for Linux, Windows, OX.

This is an opportunity for a graphic artist to produce a range of work for a portfolio, while also gaining an insight into web development.
