Starts: 11 August 2018
Lea Bridge, River Lee, Hackney
Join us on Saturday 11 August between 10am and 3.30pm at Lea Bridge for an enjoyable day’s work on the beautiful River Lee. We’ll be cutting back overgrown vegetation, removing fly tipping and carrying out a walking litter pick down to Old Ford Lock where the event will end. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us by The Princess of Wales Pub, Lea Bridge Road, E5 9RB. The nearest stations are Clapton and Lea Bridge which are a 10 minute walk from the meeting point.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
