Join us on Wednesday 25 July between 10am and 3.30pm at Haggerston for a satisfying days’ work at this popular spot on the Regents Canal. We'll be clearing buddliea from the towpath walls and bank sides and cutting back overgrown vegetation. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there.
Meet us on the towpath by Whitmore Road Bridge, Haggerston, approx postcode N1 5QG. The nearest station is Haggerston which is a 10 minute walk away. The event will run from 10am-3.30pm, join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
