Starts: 14 July 2018
St Pancras Lock, Regent's Canal, London
Join us on Saturday 14th July between 10am and 3.30pm at St Pancras Lock for an enjoyable day’s work on the iconic Regent's Canal. We’ll be painting the railings on the Lock and under the bridge holes, grapple hooking under bridge holes and along the towpaths, vegetation clearance and cutback.
All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us by St Pancras Lock, which can be accessed from Camley Street via the new footbridge, or from Granary Square. The nearest station is Kings Cross St Pancras which is a 10 minute walk from the meeting point.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket or sun hat) and sturdy soled footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies. If possible, please contact us to let us know you're planning to come – sign up below or ring 0303 040 4040 for more details.
