We are looking for local volunteers to support the Trusts Asset Delivery Volunteering Team on the Wakefield branch of the Aire & Calder Canal near to Woodnook Lock. The stake and boarding bank protection is rotten, creating wash out holes in the bank. The holes have previously been filled but the timbers still need to be replaced and any new holes filled in with clay and then Topsoil. This is on the south bank of the navigation adjacent to Lock 6, Woodnook Lock (AW-010-002).
People with all kind of skills are welcome to attend, all tools and equipment will be provided along with refreshments and support. Come along and be part of friendly team and get involved in the improvement of this most beautiful of canal.
