Join us on Saturday 14 April between 10am and 3.30pm at Acton's Lock for a satisfying days work at this popular spot on the Regents Canal. We'll be fixing a broken planter, weeding, tidying and planting bulbs to brighten up the area for visitors and wildlife. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there.

Meet us on the towpath at Acton's Lock accessed from Regent's Row, E8 4PN. The nearest station is Cambridge Heath which is a 10 minute walk away. The event will run from 10am-3.30pm, join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!


The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
