Have you ever wondered “Where does the water come from?” when you have been stood next to the canal? It is a frequently asked question, especially on open days and when people visit the waterways, so we are seeking a volunteer to help us explain water resource management using infographics and maps. We do have some templates that you can work from, but some technical skills are required to complete this task.

This task will suit those with a technical background who are within fairly easy reach of our Hatton (Warwick) office. The successful candidate will be volunteering in our friendly water management team, and there may be a chance to get onsite and learn more about this specialist area if you are interested in learning more.

Skills required

You don’t need to be an artist to get involved, but we are seeking someone who has a level of technical skill and experience of using Microsoft Publisher, ArcMap and GIS packages. The successful volunteer will be assisting members of the water management team at Hatton, and ideally we are seeking someone who can volunteer for one day a week (between Monday and Wednesday). There may be a degree of flexibility for the successful candidate. For an informal discussion about the role, please speak to Volunteering Development Coordinator, Amanda Morgan (07500 991289 or amanda.morgan@canalrivertrust.org.uk).
