Here at the Trust we have people and nature at the heart of everything we do, and we would like to see more people enjoying the waterways in a variety of ways.
Our busy team at Anderton Boat Lift are looking for volunteers to help prepare and plan our events schedule for the coming season. This varied role will consist of, but not be restricted to, helping prepare materials and paperwork, contacting suppliers, promote events via a range of channels and attend the event as Trust representatives.


This role is ideal for anyone wanting to further their skills in events management, promotions and/or social media.
Ideal for those who want to gain more experience working within an environmental, heritage and people focussed charity.
You will have the chance to make a real difference to the team and will be joining us at a very exciting and dynamic time as we continue our journey as a national charity with a community focus.
Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be provided along with any equipment and appropriate training required to carry out the role.

Skills required

Good organisational skills, time management and an eye for detail.
A friendly manner and an enthusiasm for events and the canals are a must.
Experience using Microsoft office is essential.
Basic skills using design software and social media for promotion is preferable.
At the Trust we make use of SAP and ThankQ previous experience is preferable, but not essential.
Good communication skills but most importantly a willingness to learn and use of own initiative.
