Join us on Thursday 8 June between 10am and 3.30pm at Bishops Stortford, for an enjoyable day’s work at this beautiful spot on the River Stort. We’ll be carrying out a variety of tasks to help spruce up the area including cutting back vegetation, collecting litter and painting. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. Event leader Richard will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us on the towpath on the opposite side of the river to The Port Jackson pub, CM23 3BX. Nearest public transport Bishops Stortford Station.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket or sun hat) and sturdy soled footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies.
