Southall, Grand Union, West London
Join us on Saturday 3 June at Southall between 10am and 3.30pm for a satisfying days work on the beautiful Grand Union Canal Paddington Arm. We'll be replacing fencing, tackling litter and cutting back vegetation to give the area a real lift. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. Event leader Jack Newman will be delighted to see you there.
Meet us at 10am on the towpath by the Hambrough Tavern next to Uxbridge Road Bridge, Uxbridge Road, UB1 1NH. The closest station is Southall which is 1 mile walk (or bus ride) away. Event will run from 10am-3.30pm, join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is needed, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty.
