Dutton Locks, Weaver Navigation
Come along and get involved with our regular Weaver Navigation Towpath Taskforce activities on the 2nd Tuesday of each month This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, lively and active group of volunteers working on tasks such as habitat management, hedge laying, coppicing, fencing, towpath improvement work, painting, heritage preservation and the odd bit of litter picking. We will be working in various locations along the Weaver Navigation from Runcorn to Winsford. All you need to bring along old clothing suitable for the weather and practical work, a packed lunch and hot drink and a smile, we provide everything else.
A chance to learn some new skills, make new friends, get fit, have fun and feel satisfied with a great days work at the same time as helping us to care for this wonderful waterway and home to some fantastic wildlife.
No skills are required. All tools and tuition in their use, informal skills training and information on the heritage and wildlife are provided in a safe working environment.
We'd love to hear from you if you're interested in finding out more about this opportunity. If you apply for more info (below) we will get in touch soon with further details. Thank you!
