Hatton Offices, Warwick
This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved in the work of Canal & River Trust’s SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) System, which is used in monitoring water control and monitoring the canal network. The team is looking for an enthusiastic and capable volunteer to assist with converting over 200 Instrumentation Images from gif/png to svg format. There is even an opportunity to help with a complete re-design of the imagery. Based at our Hatton offices, ideally you will be able to volunteer for one to two days a week to gain the most from this opportunity.
Based within a small dedicated specialist team and working alongside our Systems Engineer, you will gain a unique insight into how the Trust's 200 year old network of waterways is monitored and managed using 21st century systems technology. You will also gain further experience within IT and Graphic Design, whilst helping support the maintenance of an iconic waterway treasure.
Informal training and support will be provided as appropriate to the tasks being undertaken.
Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Good IT skills, including basic familiarity with Graphics packages, along with the ability to get to our Hatton Offices, near Warwick.
