Water Management Team Digital Media and Data Transfer volunteer

Reference: OPP0004686

Activities: Administration, Marketing and promotions, Recording and monitoring

Starts: Anytime

Hatton, Grand Union Canal, Warwickshire

Two great roles in one here helping our Water Management team in developing a strong presence through digital media and transferring historical data across to our new system. Based at our Hatton office near Warwick and working closely with the Trust’s Hydrologists this role will involve the creation of infographics/posters for our “Where does the water come from?” campaign. Alongside this you will also be trained to help with data transfer, working through our datasets, assessing what is present, making decisions as to what should be transferred across to the new system and preparing the data files for this.
Ideally the role will last for 6 months, with the potential to extend, and you will be able to give 4 hours or more per week to give and gain the most from this opportunity.

The combination of these roles provides a great opportunity to learn about hydrology and how our water network works.
You'll work closely with Hydrologists in our Water Management Team and gain a well rounded insight into the work they do.
It's a great opportunity for those looking for experience in a work environment, wanting to diversify or simply with an enquiring mind and willingness to help.

Skills required

You'll need to be computer literate and with the ability and motivation to work under your own initiative at times.
