Regent's Canal Clean Up at Kings Cross- Come and join us for a canal clean up and vegetation cutback on the Regent's Canal. We'll be working our way along this popular stretch from York Way (Maiden Lane Bridge) to the Islington Tunnel cutting back overgrown vegetation, collecting litter and clearing pathways. Meet at 10am on the towpath by York Way. The event will run from 10am-3.30pm, join us for the morning only or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!


Towpath Taskforce is a great way to meet other local volunteers and the CRT Volunteer team, develop new practical skills, learn about the London waterways or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

There are no skills required for this task and all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day; you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (waterproof/sun hat) and protective footwear if you have some. Hot drinks will be provided.
