Activities: Management and supervision
The Treasurer/Fundraiser has a role to play in maintaining an overview of the committee’s financial affairs, maintaining financial records and seeking external funding.
? Set budget with committee and provide reports each meeting
? Ensure accounting procedures and controls are in place
? Ensure any auditor recommendations are implemented
? Ensure sponsor/funder requirements are complied with
? Advise on a fundraising strategy and lead on its implementation
? Arrange for payments to be made to suppliers etc as agreed by the committee
? Management of any bank account maintained
? To ensure the appropriate insurances are in place
• Some experience of financial control and budgeting.
• Similar experience of fundraising.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to ensure decisions are taken and followed-up.
