This role will focus on being an ambassador for CRT within the Gloucester Docks and engaging with members of the public. An extension of our Front of House a Welcome Station Greeter and Volunteer Ranger in one.
You will share your local knowledge when you meet and chat with members of the public around the Gloucester Docks. There will be an opportunity to gain relevant training and instruction will be given in the variety of tasks undertaken.
This role would suit someone who is interested in the history of the Dock area. You will also enjoy talking to people and sharing local knowledge. You will already have or be willing to develop a sound knowledge of Canal & River Trust and be comfortable in promoting our mission that living waterways transform places and enrich people’s lives. This role will support the aspiration of the Trust to become a household name by 2025. Also, key to this role will be the ability to establish a rapport with Trust staff and local businesses and develop a partnership with the local Tourist Information Centre (TIC).
