This role will support the bank staff team in the delivery of different maintenance jobs on the Worcester, Birmingham and Droitwich canal. Working with two Canal & River trust staff from the local team you will be based at the Tardebigge offices although the team may instruct other meeting points dependant on the tasks that need to be undertaken.
You can gain firsthand experience of working on listed structures and discover the many different tasks that are undertaken to ensure that our canals remain in good working order for our many canal user groups and make life better by water. There will be an opportunity to gain relevant training and instruction will be given in the variety of tasks undertaken.
This role would suit someone who is mechanically minded, interested in DIY and with an ability to apply practical skills in an outdoor setting. You will also enjoy talking to people, sharing local knowledge and being an ambassador for the Trust.
