Activities: Administration, Customer service
Starts: 12th June 2014 to 31st December 2014
Gloucester, Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, Gloucestershire
Housed in a warehouse at the heart of Gloucester's fine Victorian Docks, Gloucester Waterways Museum tells the story of our wonderful canals and rivers. Volunteers are at the heart of the museum supporting a diverse range of opportunities.
So if you love meeting new people and would relish the chance to raise the profile of the museum then why not join our team of Events & Marketing volunteers? You will be contributing and delivering activities and events, talking to visitors and assist in promoting the museum through social media and marketing.
Ideally you’ll have local knowledge and an interest in the waterway and the surrounding area, but this is not essential. Most important is the ability to communicate and help others, with a friendly and outgoing manner.
A fantastic opportunity to gain some hands-on skills including event organising, photography, marketing, social media and PR.
Full in house training will be provided.
To get the most out of this opportunity we are looking for a minimum commitment of 1 day a week which may at times involved weekends. This is flexible though so if you are interested we would love to discuss this with you in more detail. Thanks!
