Towpath Taskforce in the Gailey area on the Staffs and Worcester Canal with the Canal & River Trust. We carry out a range of tasks with something to suit all, can include vegetation management, painting of lock beams and metalwork or just generally having a good spring clean. The meeting point for this particular task day will be based around Gailey Wharf Canal, Staffs & Worcester Canal. Nearby postcode ST19 5PR every 4th Thursday of each month, 9.30am until approx 3pm


It's a great way to meet other local volunteers and the CRT Volunteer team, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

There are no skills required for this task and all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day; you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes and protective footwear if you have some.
