Lune aqueduct nature sit
Join us for a practical day around Lancaster which will include vegetation maintenance work, litter picking and general towpath maintenance.
Currently we are working with our environment team to restore and improve our nature site at the Lune Aqueduct. This work fluctuates so during winter we will be holding weekly / fortnightly task days on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 3pm.
No experience is needed, though it’s appreciated if you can let us know that you’re turning up to help ensure we have enough tools. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing which you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy boots / steel toe caped boots if you have them. We will provide all the tools and equipment needed to do the task.
You may want to bring your own flask or water bottle and a packed lunch or snack depending on how long you’re staying.
It's a great way to meet other like-minded volunteers and get to hear about other volunteering opportunities if you fancy getting more involved.
No special skills are needed for the day and everyone works at their own pace. If you've got specific skills that you think may be helpful, please let us know.
