Starts: 22nd May 2017
Join us for a practical day around Lancaster which will include vegetation maintenance work, litter picking and general towpath maintenance. This is one of a series of task days which take place once per month, usually on Thursdays starting at 10am until approx 1pm. The meeting point for this event may vary. No experience is needed, though it’s appreciated if you can let us know that you’re turning up to help ensure we have enough tools and to find out where the next volunteer day is taking place. Some days the group size will need to be limited in volunteer numbers! Please wear suitable outdoor clothing which you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy boots / steel toe caped boots if you have them. We will provide all the tools and equipment needed to do the task. You may want to bring your own flask or water bottle and a packed lunch or snack depending on how long you’re staying.
It's a great way to meet other like-minded volunteers and get to hear about other volunteering opportunities if you fancy getting more involved.
No special skills are needed for the day and everyone works at their own pace. If you've got specific skills that you think may be helpful, please let us know.
