Starts: 4th June 2017
Burnley straight mile
Join us for a practical session, between 10am and 2.30pm on the first Sunday of the Month in and around Burnley. Activities undertaken include: vegetation works, litter picks and general towpath maintenance. No experience is needed though it’s appreciated if you can let us know that you’re turning up to help ensure we have enough tools, tea and biscuits and to find out where the next volunteer day is taking place!
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing which you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy footwear. We’ll provide all the tools and equipment needed to do the task. We can provide hot drinks but you may also want to bring your own flask or water bottle, along with a packed lunch or snack, depending on how long you will be staying.
It's a great way to meet other like minded volunteers and get to hear about other volunteering opportunities if you fancy getting more involved.
No special skills are needed for the day and everyone works at their own pace. If you've got specific skills that you think may be helpful, please let us know.
