Join the Towpath Taskforce in Wiltshire the third Thursday of each month for a range of activities along the Kennet & Avon Canal in helping to protect and improve wildlife, heritage and the visitor experience. Recently we've planted wildflowers; cleared overgrowth on the Diamond Jubilee Woodland carried out painting and updated the signs.

All tools and equipment are provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments.
Where: Caen Hill Lock Flight, Kennet & Avon Canal. Meet at the depot in the main yard, this is a short walk from the pay & display car park. Postcode SN10 1RF.

The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet likeminded volunteers and join the Canal & River Trust Team. You will learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving the local waterway environment.

There are no skills required for this task and all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day; you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes and protective footwear if you have some.
