Bath Volunteers have recently launched a new workboat 'Sulis' and are looking for new crew members and helmsman. The workboat and crew will be volunteering on the K&A Canal and River Avon. Tasks include clearing offside vegetation, carrying out small maintenance tasks, painting lock gates and assisting with environmental clean ups.

We often meet at the Bath Flight of Locks but this can vary, for further details please contact Lead Volunteer Trevor 07533 529089

When: Every Tuesday, 10am until approx 3pm

It's a great way to meet other local volunteers and the Trust's Volunteer team, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

Previous boating experience is desirable but training can be provided, all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day; you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes and protective footwear if you have some.
