It gave me life skills and confidence that I probably couldn’t have gained elsewhere.
Karen, volunteer

What's involved?

Join us for our Towpath Taskforce on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11am until 3pm, meeting at Blisworth Tunnel Car Park, Blisworth, NN7 3BZ.

Working in conjunction with the Blisworth Canal Partnership, it’s a great opportunity to try low-commitment volunteering with the Trust. Tasks vary on a regular basis and can include painting, planting, litter clearance, general maintenance, depending on what’s needed in the area.

What skills are we looking for?

There are no skills required for this task and all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day; you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes and protective footwear if you have some.

What will you get from us?

The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local volunteers and the CRT Volunteer team, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
