What's involved?

Join us on Saturday 6th August between 10am and 1:30pm at Acton Lane, Park Royal for a satisfying day's work at this spot on the Grand Union Canal. As a Towpath Taskforce volunteer you will help to support your local canal by cutting back overgrown vegetation, clearing paths, collecting litter, painting, planting, and generally tidying up etc.

Meet us at Beit el Zaytoun, Barretts Green Road, entrance of the canal. The closest postcode is NW10 7AE. It is a 5 minute walk from Harlesden Station.

What's in it for you?

The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

What skills are we looking for?

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, sun hat) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies. Remember to bring a drink as it is important to stay hydrated during the day. If possible, please sign up to let us know you plan on coming along.
