Starts: 15th April 2017 to 16th September 2017
Selby, Selby Canal, Yorkshire
Join us on the third Saturday of every month, 10am to 1pm, for an enjoyable day’s work on the beautiful Selby Canal. We’ll be tackling a variety of tasks, including painting, litter picking, cutting back vegetation and planting. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments.
It's a great way to meet other local volunteers and the the Trust's Volunteer team, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No previous experience is required; all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes and protective footwear if you have some.
