It gave me life skills and confidence that I probably couldn’t have gained elsewhere.
Karen, volunteer

What's involved?

We are ensuring all activities are Covid secure. If you sign up the regional team will contact you as soon as they're able to recruit you, thanks for your patience.

Recently we have repainted Locks, cut back overhanging vegetation, carried out environmental enhancements, litter removal and created a Sensory Garden.

We meet every Thursday, 10am until approx. 3pm. Meet at the site specified on the weekly email.

What skills are we looking for?

There are no skills required for this task and all safety procedures and work instructions will be given on the day; you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. We advise that you wear old clothes and protective footwear if you have some.

What will you get from us?

It's a great way to meet other local volunteers and the Trust's Volunteer team, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
