Activities: Practical, Environment, Management and Supervision
Starts: 27 May 2021 to 1 May 2022
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to co-ordinate and lead our Get Active to Fight Plastic activities in Manchester. You will be leading Get Active to Fight Plastic walking groups and supporting our pop-up clean-ups. This is a vital and rewarding role in our programme to make the local canals cleaner, greener and safer.
As a Lead, you'll work alongside staff and other volunteers to plan, deliver, and celebrate volunteering across our urban waterways in the city. In return for a regular commitment of your time, we provide the opportunity to gain experience and put your skills into practice, to ensure the smooth day to day running of volunteer activities and give our volunteers the best experience possible.
This is a responsible role with a lot to offer the right person, so if it sounds just what you've been looking for, we'd love to talk to you about it!
What's in it for you?
A strong set of skills & experience, ideal for those looking to gain practical work experience and increase their employability. Dedicated training and networking is an essential part of the role, and you'll be supported by existing Lead volunteers and staff as you develop your skills. It’s a great way to explore your local waterways and meet lots of new people from a wide range of backgrounds.
