Peak Forest Canal

A friendly and dynamic volunteer group making improvements and raising awareness and public use of the historic canal basin and attractive canal beyond. Tasks can include vegetation management, painting, tidy-ups and dry stone walling; the group is also associated with organising the popular annual event Whaley Water .
An opportunity to get outsde in a beautiful location, work with a friendly and sociable bunch of people and learn some new skills. Whaley Bridge is also a great place to start exploring the stunning Lower Peak Forest Canal
No previous experience is necessary - you just need to be reasonably mobile, and ready to listen to instruction and look out for your own and others safety. You will need to wear sturdy footwear and practical clothes that you dont mind getting dirty.
