Our charity has planned an £89m programme of engineering work for this winter and everyone is invited to watch us at work during several face-to-face Open Days between December 23 and March 24.

This virtual experience brings you closer to our 2023 works along the Rochdale Canal in Manchester City Centre.

Crofton Pumping Station

Our works, costing £1.8 million, saw the 40-year-old pumps, pipes and electrics replaced with a modern, more efficient and reliable system

Hanwell Flight

Once in a generation the lock gates reach the end of their working life, so last year, our team were busy replacing sets at Locks 93 and 94

Hazelhurst Bridge Restoration

We completed works to rebuild the Grade II Listed Hazelhurst Bridge on the Caldon Canal near Endon in Staffordshire.

Work on the Grand Union included repairs to lock gates, historic bridges and brickwork taking place to ensure these waterways don't fall into decline
